For the
honey beer custard, place the milk
and the honey beer into a saucepan,
and bring to the boil.
Place the
egg yolks into a separate bowl, add
the cornflour and the caster sugar
and stir well to combine.
Pour the
near-boiling milk or beer on top of
the egg yolk mixture, stir well, then
pour everything back into the milk
pan again, and place back on to the
heat.
Stir well
as the mixture comes back up to heat
and thickens, but do not boil
